wheels and headlight conversion

Guys, still trying to decide on which aftermarket wheels to go for, so if anyone has any pics i'd be greatfull. Also some pics of the twin headlight conversions would be nice.

SP- looks nice, did you get it done by tvr bodyshop? is it perfect (no ripples etc) total cost?

Had it done Ron Edwards at Fforest Garage, Pontardulais Swansea back in June 2003, no problems with it at all, garage owned by TVR owner who has experience with fiberglass repairs. About £1k ish if I remember correctly.

My conversion is TVR bodyshop (pic on profile) most people seem to have gone for the speed 12 option,plus you can get some extra ducting,3inch downpipe fits behind where the old indicators were perfectly!!

I found a great photo of some alloys, and asked the question on PH a few months back. Unfortunatly just checked and the website they were on no longer exists.

Closest I've seen on PH are on Tiny's great looking griffith (17" Technomagnesio Detroit F1s):

Can't miss an oppurtunity to show a pic of my wheels -Image HT.

Being a touch retro when it comes to cars ,I wanted a change from from the modern flat faced look of most Tiv wheels and went for something a little more "dished" at the rear.

Personally I think the Khan RSRs look nice. Very similar to the original wheels, just available in bigger sizes. I made some enquiries, and it was around £450 a set, plus tyres, for 17" all round.

Re : Handling on larger wheels/tyres

I run 235 section front tyres which have a greater tendancy to tramline but nothing too extreme.
The 255 section rears reduce wheel spin under "spirited" acceleration

Will have a better idea later this month after another couple of track days (still got the old wheels-just in case).

cheers for that. How do you get away with such wide tyres! do the not rub on the front inner arches?

The fronts, 235x40x17, fit nicely (previously had 225x45x16 Griff front wheels)no problems there.

The rears ,255x40x17,required the wheel arches to be relieved as they contacted the tyres on corners.

Although ,its worth mentioning that the car sits lower than factory spec anyway due to the settings of the Nitron suspension .
