Does anyone have a clue as to the size of this bolt.

Its the side diff mount to chassis bolt on a BTR diff.

I would like to replace one that was a right pain to fit when the diff was out and the thread was a bit, err damaged!

The bolt I'm after is in the first photo.

It is the one that goes through the bush on the chassis rail on the side of the diff.

Nice chassis BTW.

When I removed mine the state of them suggested they were original, so:

7/16 UNF (20tpi) x 3.5" with a single plain washer at each end.

Hope that helps. I also have a spare if you're desperate (think you're not too far away from me) and can drop it round if needs be.

Perfect info!

I kept my old suspension bolts and will check if there is a similar one.

If not, where abouts are you?

Just south of Dorking off the A24. For some reason I'm sure I remember a photo of your car taken at the Esso garage at Beare Green which is only 10 minutes from mine.

I swear even the people who design computers don't really know how they work !!

Still haven't received anything so have tried emailing you. Might get better luck that way.
