Lambda sensor removal socket in Surrey

Anyone in the Surrey area got a socket for removing the lambda sensor ?
This seems to be a spark plug (12 mm thread) socket with a channel cut down the side for the wires.
The options seem to be :

1) You can buy a suitable tool.....but not for the size of sensor on TVRs;
2)you can make one by cutting a channel in a correctly sized spark plug socket.... not a trivial task...
or
3) find someone who has already done 2) and is prepared to lend you their modified socket.

Any offer on 3) ?

Thank you for this reply, but Snap-on don't make a suitable tool.
This needs to be effectively be a 17mm deep socket with a section cut out of it.

So in the absense of any pre-modified sockets from anyone, I have now purchased a suitable socket and just need to cut a section out of it.

Anybody care to suggest the easiest way to remove a section out of a crome-vanadium socket ?

Unless you have a milling machine in your garage, best bet is to use an angle grinder, should get a nice straight cut, you could also grind some flats on the sides so you can use an open end spanner on the socket.

Ok, all sorted. Combination of angle grinder and hacksaw sorted out the socket. Works a treat.

Lambda sensors changed and all seems to be working well.
Engine is MUCH smoother, even on cold start.
Just have to see if this improves the MPG.
