Wiper steering column stalk knackered?
Discussion
My right-hand stalk that controls the wipers has gone very loose...
It used to have about 3 "clicks" evenly spaced until you hit the top of the movement range, but now it feels utterly unsprung and floppy - although it does still hit the first 2 clicks, they are right at the top of the range of movement, and I can't get the 3rd click.
Think I must have broken the switcher unit..? (lucky it still works then, in this weather)
Can anyone advise on the correct part to replace (I presume its broken internally, unless anyone knows different)..?
Is it easy to fit, or will it involve complex surgery..?
Thanks,
Dom

On my '99 450, undo the two screws (underneath) that hold the plastic cowl together, that lets you see everything. from memory I think you squeeze a couple of clips on the wiper unit and it simply unclips and slides out. The connectors are on a block. Reassembly is the reverse.
