Headlight switch issue

Hi all

I'm struggling with a chim headlight issues and looking for any help/ideas.

My headlights/switch has not worked since I changed a battery and alternator a few weeks ago. The full beam still works as do brake lights and all other electrics.

I checked the fuse/relay but all seemed fine so tried a reconditioned headline switch today. The 1st click (dipped lights) works for a whilst before flicking on/off and now back to nothing.

Any ideas on what it could be/ what I should take a look at?

The obvious candidate would be something that you've disturbed when changing the battery. I would double check the fuses and perhaps check the connection to the switch itself as you never know if something has been bodged before your ownership.
