Hi there
When I first purchased my chimaera the wiper blades got snagged on each other, I didn't realise they were still switched on as they weren't moving due to said snaggage until I stopped at the lights and smoke came out the passengers bonnet vent. Now they only work on the fastest speed, is the whole thing kaput or is it just some kind of speed controller burn out? Also if anyone knows where I can buy the bits to repair fault at decent price that would be great.
Many thanks
Rich

Think you might be able to get a park switch , other than that if it's the early motor the one you can see you cannot by bits to fix it as far as I know , however there is a chap that offers a refurb , guys name that repairs them is Adrian venn

Hi Richard - I nabbed a motor and drive on ebay for a tenner ages ago. i only wanted it for the park switch, the rest is just taking up room in the garage. Don't know if its working but you're very welcome to it.

I'm up in Cumbria but will be at the NEC show next week and can bring it down if you're there (or know anyone who can pick it up for you).

Two very kind offers. If either of you are willing to post then I'd be happy to pay the delivery cost and little extra for the part it self, at least like enough for a couple of beers!
I believe the motor itself works as it works on one speed so it must be a control or something. Let me know if you both are ok to post and how much you would like.
Thanks again guys

Motor windings may have burnt out. You can speak to Adrian Venn about wiper motors 024 7659 6883. He just refurbished mine after it wore itself out.
Cheers.
