I am told that the K&N airfilter is the best one for my Chimaera, which is a 5 litre and which I do take on track.
I want to buy one, ahead of installing an ACT induction hose system next week.

Does anyone please know the part number for the correct air filter?
Thanks

There is no part number ,they are made in batches for the the TVR tax inspectors .smilesmilesmilecool

This may help .

Why not make your own induction kit ,much cheaper

Thanks Daz, that's really helpful. I will check the size of the space and the size of the present incumbent and call K&N tomorrow.
I would make my own kit, but I spotted the complete ACT kit on Classifieds for £80, barely used. So I bought it, like you do, and will be selling the elbow as I don't need it - I did that upgrade a few months ago.

Worth a look although I don't think so.

I was going to have a go at raising the beams later anyway.

I'll let you knowsmile

Do I order one from www.barking.com?
I was thinking of the conical shape, so I could ram it in if space is tight.

Yes please Richard - I will check the stripes thread for the design of the front of your car. Mine is the later style, with the bar across the front.

Checked - yes, same style

Tried the rad and the wheel arch way, no joy, not quite enough room!

Decided to err, reshape the end of the K&N a tad and squeezed it through the grill, result!

It then got its own back on me, I have 90mm pipe work fitted and the standard size is about 76mm frown

So should I be using 90m, not 76? I thought my AFM and Plenum were 72mm or thereabouts?
