Best Position for the Roadangel 2
Discussion
I've just bought a Roadangel 2 for the Chim. If I position it in the centre of the windscreen as suggested in the destructions, the forward laser sensor seems to be obscured by the windscreen wiper. Has anybody else got one of these and where do you think is the best position for it?
I've put mine in the centre as advised and tried to position it so it has a path between the parked wiper and the base of the screen/lip on the bonnet. Only trouble is i don't know of any way of testing it short of driving around until i find a mobile speed camera.
Anybody got sensible a solution?

I use original RoadAngel in Chim without problems.
I sit the thing on top of the steering column shroud, works a treat. And now I now know how fast I am going at night as the dial illumination on my 93 speedo is useless.
I don't bother with the laser alert any more.
It works, I have had it go off a few times on the M74. But surely it works at the speed of light (or at least a very short averaging burst), if it goes off you are already nicked. On every occasion I have eyeballed the thing before the laser is trained on me.
I can't see you ever getting scatter from someone elses zap.
Any thoughts.

I plonk my RA2 right in the middle, a little up from the base of the screen. That way the laser sensors are above the wipers, and more to the point, above the level of the rear screen base too. Works fine that way, I've had a couple of alerts, and spotted lurking Plod behind a bush!
I'd love to know how accurate the speed gauge is - I know it's got a bit of delay on it, but if it's to be believed then my 98's speedo is incredibly accurate on UK roads, and the wife's Saab reads about 4mph above what you're actually doing. I haven't told her this, as she's the one with 9 points, not me!
