.......how it can take me 90 minutes to pop the 2 miles each way to collect some horse feeds from a shop in Newark?confused

Shoud I explain that I took the TVR (sun shining, roof off) and that it forced me to detour via Gainsborough and Worksop driving, or leave her assuming I was scouring the shops, trying to find her a wonderful Christmas present? angel

There are some great roads just south of Gainsborough, good TVR roads.... nice sweeping bends. I particularly like the roads around Torksey Lock

There is nothing quite like an impromtu hoon smile

I think I found some of them. The A1133 from Newark to Gainsborough was one, and the old Great North Road on the way back. Great straights, lovely sweeping bends, up and down the gearbox. Huge grin inducing fun.
I will have a look around Torksey Lock. I am devising a route for a three hour PH hoon around north Notts and Lincs for either the Christmas hols or early spring.

Can't understand why the Chim needs TLC (time labour and cash) As far as she is concerned it drives fine. As far as I am concerned it needs a bigger cam, lower ratio diff, brake bias solenoid and so much more. Women eh.

  • chuckle* I'll have to give you guys a shout next time I'm home at my parents as they're not far from you all - Epworth. I've often done the run across from the M1 via Lincoln / Newark / Gainsborough back home. biggrin

If you are oop this way over the festering season it would be lovely to see you. Might even manage a run out in your honour if you have the time - there are loads of TVR owners hereabouts. Hopefully you will be well enough.
