strange title but after the incident at snetterton i have refitted the rear part of the roof with new fabric and window with a much tighter fit all round looks far better, not my most favourite job getting the last two nuts and washers in over the top of the inner rear wheel arches, but all done just the new window top seal to find, been busy on the lathe turning up a full set of eight row pulleys for a serpentine engine with an sc blower i am really pleased with the result they are done in 6802 t6 ready for anodising, then the storm surge came to the door as you may know my workship is beside the river yare which has been up beyond the 53 levels but we just managed tp keep it at bay pics don't really do the extent of the water justice ,just tonight should be fine couple of pics of whats in the water the jack was caught by my grandson.

Nice pictures John and has already been said, those pulleys look amazing.

What's the story with the roof? Blow out centre panel or something worse?
I've had a centre panel blow out too. Very scary on the M1 at err, well let's say I was making good progress wink

Nice pulleys John! This should help with belt slip on the SC by utilising the extra groove. Have you considered increasing the belt coverage on the crank pulley which looks a little low on the SC installation? If you look at a typical p38 range rover front end the tensioner pulley is different arrangement which dramatically increases crank belt coverage.

Are you intending to market theses pulleys?

Those pulleys look fantastic! As per the previous post, any intention to market them?

Yes they are available to order you can have them anodised should you wish to i will require the crankshaft pulley preferably so as to be sure of perfect alignment and balance.

Thanks for the reply John, I will think about it the next time I'm doing some work on the engine.

I found this on Ebay that might me of interest to you:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/John-Eales-JED-Rover-V8-...

This would increase crank pulley belt coverage further and potentially allow you to set belt tension rather than rely upon the spring in the belt tensioner.

Marvelous, I am looking at fitting a JE tigger wheel at some point soon so that would be a good opportunity to swap the pulleys over. Next time I see you we can discuss in further detail.

Take Absolut Vanilla Vodka and Coke, add Tramadol, the Bay app on an iPad with a linked PayPal account ... dust with a sprinkling of boredom and you have a recipe for next day "Random Purchase Remembrance" - the last one was a remote oil filter kit that is still sat in the "todo" box. hehe
