Sore / hoarse throat via cabin vents
Discussion
Since the recent decat and chipping works I have noticed that on the past two drives I have encountered a hoarse throat - I am confident it isn't CO - as I have been trained in hypoxia awareness - but i'm gonna get a sticky tab to be sure, especially now that the roof will be on more often than not.
My understanding is that the Y piece is/was full of nasty stuff but I would imagine they took that well off the car to fettle.
What else should I look for / clean / blow through ? I have the bible but can't find mention of a pollen filter
Cheers

The air comes in from the nose cone over the inner/ outer wings so unless you have a mouse nesting in you car I doubt its thatMy understanding is that the Y piece is/was full of nasty stuff but I would imagine they took that well off the car to fettle.

I've had the smell of fumes since my decat, but only when driving with the roof on and the windows down slightly so I only noticed in the last month.
If you search on here there are several threads that apply to both griffs and chims where air pressure is found to be sucking exhaust fumes into the boot via a poor seal and through to the cabin via the gaps over the rear wheelarches.
So my plan based on advice in those threads is to fit an additional rubber seal to the bootlid, and also use some foam or towels to block the wheel arch gaps. I'll post back when I've done it

you can make a 'vent' which is supposed to cure this, it's something I will do in the future

I moulded 'stops' into my inner wing wings that enabled filters to be fitted (just mesh holding cut up carbon impregnated oven hood filters). Easy enough to do only if you have the headlights out (I did it about 8 years ago when converting my lights)
Mainly because of the grit flying in the eyes during the summer BTW not any fume / intoxication reasons.
