On my S I took the door cards off and serviced both window mechanisms. On the Chim is there a way to lubricate the window runners without stripping the door card off ? thanks for any replies.

Same as your s really, but you can try to spray some silicone down the channels and work the window up and down to see if it frees it off, but best to take the trim off and have a good go at it.

I wonder if you could run a fresh feed in via a relay ..I`m sure there is no where near 12v at the terminals ..

I may be wrong, but I'm sure someone not so long ago said that he took his door speakers out and just inside the hole you can see the window motors and there was a small reservoir that he topped up with oil, or something like that.

Might be worth a look, hope that helps thumbup

That was me, there is a small clear plastic cap in the motor just behind the speaker,, a bit of oil squirted into the gear mechanisms through that hole, made a huge difference to the speed and smooth operation, they are still good today, 10 months on, good luck

Cheers fellas, I`m sure it`s a simple fix, on my S it was the runners that were dry, but I`ll look into the motor idea, sounds like a top tip thumbup
