Hi all, just discovered a slight clicking sound to the off side rear wheel area. I think it could be the CV joint so its getting looked at today by my local garage. Does anyone know what CV joint/ drive shaft it is, I've heard it is a ford granada/sierra set up but not sure. I have a 4.0l 1995 Chimaera. Thanks

Not a clue sorry. Is there not a "bible" for Chimaeras or have you tried TVR or a dealer?

The breakdown recovery guy I spoke to yesterday said the drive shaft is the same as a Grenada. He used to have a Grenada and has recognised it on Chims before.

Did he actually measure it and take the rubber boot off to see whether it was the Lobro or the other type of CV joint? Did he measure the splines to see if they were the same? Many many variation that all look the same externally but have different internal strengths and dimensions. Get the wrong one and the V8 torque will make mincemeat of it. What ever you do make sure that it is an exact replacement.
