My windscreen wipers have been playing up for a while, they do not park when on intermittent and it only makes half a sweep too, ie when on intermittent it goes from left to right but only returns on next sweep.
Do I need a new motor and where is the best and cheapest place to source? Many thanks. Gary

sounds like you need a new park switch, easy to replace and cheap fix. its the white plastic thing on the side.

Thank you very much. Ordered up the part http://www.thetvrshop.com/TVR/Parts_details/TVR%20...
Indeed hes right!
I bought my chimaera and didnt notice this same issue until i got home.
10 minutes to fix, but be prepared with a new spade connector. The park switch basically sits in an area where water sits so connectors get corroded easily. I also covered the connectors in vaseline to keep water away in the future.

Depending on which wiper system your car has, there could be another cause of these precise symptoms. On my car, there is a fuse protecting the wiper park circuit. If that fuse blows, the wipers stop parking properly and will stop in seemingly random places. They work normally in continuous mode, but only do partial sweeps in intermittent mode.
When I had this problem, I lived with it for many months until my car failed its MOT due to no brake lights. That's when I realised that this fuse protects BOTH the wiper park circuit and the brake lights. I replaced the fuse, et voila! Working brake lights and properly parking wipers.
So if your park switch doesn't fix the problem, check the fuse next. (Actually, I'd have checked the 10p fuse first...)
