Thing on fuel pump

Sorry for the vague title
What is the thing that comes from the + of the pump to the chassis
Is it some kind of suppresser ? Mine has dropped in bits
Dose it nead replacing if so what with ?

Its supposed to stop intererence on the radio. Wouldnt worry about it unless you like to listen to the radio.
