I wonder who has the brain trust on this one!

Just had the passenger door leveled up - clue it seems to have been wrong from the beginning. And now there is a few mm gap at the front of the window and a bit tight at the rear such that the door is tough to shut.

I know about the screw to raise the top position of the window, but if I adjust this enough to loose the gap at the front, the door will not close due to overshoot at the rear.

So, how would I rise the front, and lower the rear. I have the panels off the door and I cannot see what to adjust...

While I am at it, the quarter-light ironwork is loose, any tips on how to tighten it up?

Help appreciated.

Cheers
Dave

The solution lies not with raising or lowering the front of the window but with adjusting the targa seal to fit the top of your window.

Take your roof off and look at the rubber sealing strip - it runs in a steel gutter. This is held into place by a row of screws that are under the rubber seal.

Remove these screws and the steel gutter. When you replace it put some washers over the screws between the steel gutter and roof. By varying the number of washers you can change the "drop" of the targa seal front to back and help it conform to a sloping window.

What a cracking bit of knowledge.
