Broken drivers seat

The drivers seat on my Chim is very uncomfy. Feeling around under the seat there is a lot of wires sticking out and the foam padding is falling out.
Is there any way to fix this or do I need to get a new/recon seat.

Be careful, if those wires are anything like mine were then they're very sharp rsuty spikes.

I had exactly the same problem as this. Yes, you can fix it yourself, I used some green garden type wire and a pair of pliers, carfully remove the remaining pieces of steel and simply restring with your wire, works okay on mine.

Oh, and I also replaced the rusty seat bolts with some nice stainless ones while I was there.
