So, after much deliberation and some recommendations on here I was going to order a Global Power starter motor from these guys (£67.95 plus carriage)...

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RANGE-ROVER-CLASSIC-3-5-...

However, they've stopped supplying Global Power units as they "found the quality to be deteriorating" and are now supplying Britpart units.

Does anyone have experience of the Britpart starters, or indeed any other recommendations?

Some other options are this one from london-essex-autoelectrics on Ebay at £87.99 plus carriage...

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TVR-CHIMAERA-GRIFFITH-RE...

or Clever Trevor at £114 plus carriage.

Cheers,

Rob.

As per the other thread, I've just fitted one, bought it from here: http://www.paddockspares.com/nad101490-starter-mot...

So far so good, but it's only a couple of weeks old. It definitely turns over a lot quicker than before and sounds much nicer. I'm happy with it, can't complain for the money really.

You're welcome to have a look at my car if you like, not sure it'll be of much use though!!

Bought one from london-essex-autoelectrics two and a half years ago, works just fine, although my Griff isn't used daily and only comes out on occasional summer evenings and weekends all year round
