While changing my dashboard some time ago I broke off the Red LED which sits next to the heater controls. I have just got round to getting a replacement from TVR dealer. Got 2 just in case of mishap but both of them blew immediately when they were connected.. Have I been given the wrong LED's i.e 5V maybe instead of 12V or am I missing something in the wiring like a resistor or something....

Are you sure you are connecting them the right way around? They will only work one way around (connecting them up wrongly shouldn't blow them though).

had this problem before and the garage eventually fixed it, there is a resistor in there but it had to do with the voltage of the LED I'm pretty sure that they kept trying to fit the 5v ones and they blew all the time after much fafing about they eventually installed the 12V ones and that work first time
