Bought new park switch but seems you have to remove complete wiper motor to fit it?

Or am I missing a trick?

If you have to remove it then probably a good time to replace it with a stringer more powerful motor?

As ever any advice very welcome smile

If you have baby fingers it can be removed with the motor in situ. If you are a proper grown up however the motor needs to come out, been a long time since I did it on mine but I seem to remember it being a half hour job or so.

No need to remove motor per see. Take off the securing strap and you get enough movement on the motor housing to pull the park switch out. Bit of a fiddle to fit back in IIRC. I've done two now - 15min job. Clean and grease all the electrical contacts as the area is a bit of a water trap.

The very first repair i completed on her after purchasing.

Dont worry, very easy... 20 minute job

When you realise that the switch just sits in any water that runs around the body, you truly understand the foibles of low production cars....... i.e., it seemed like a good place to put it at the time redfacep

Be ready with a new spade connector though, mine was a little blob of rust when I removed it.
