Anyone thinking of selling???...
Discussion
Morning all, I will keep it short and sweet, who's thinking of selling their Chim?
Nothing in the classifieds is floating my boat
My ideal is a 1999 facelift (I.e. with the smoothed rear boot hinges) any engine size
I'm sick of viewing cars where the vendor says " oh it's mint, you can eat your dinner off the chassis, paint work faultless blah blah and when you go and view it is nothing like
If you've something nice then I'm keen to chat as I don't wish to spend my hard earned with a dealer
Colour wise again I'm open but there are 2 that are at the bottom of my list, the light ice metallic green and yellow
PM me :-)

Strange priority & comments about the boot hinges - everyone knows the older style full hinges are much more aesthetic - who doesn't like a slither of shaped alloy on their boot to contrast the with the body colour?
You also have to remember these are at their newest 10 years old most 20 years old now - its rare to find a mint one. If it is you have to ask some serious mechanical questions & overall be realistic with your expectations

If we were all the same and liked the same thing it would be a very boring place IMHOYou also have to remember these are at their newest 10 years old most 20 years old now - its rare to find a mint one. When I was buying, it had to be full facelift, the latest quad rear lights, and door switches under the mirrors.
I had also concluded that it had to be a 500.
Finally, as TJC46 hints at; the colours had to be something I could live with; in fact something I would enjoy. Full on black or magnolia were out as were 'rainbows'. (men should not be allowed to do interior decoration)
You see all the little bits of several cars, then put together in your mind which of those bits matter to you, and the combination that works for you, and this becomes the ideal.
ETA
Actually, I quite like my shiny bootlid hinges (later smaller style), but the hidden ones weren't available yet when I bought my car. Who knows? It might have ended up on my list as well.
