Anyone else done it? I have just refurbed my front indicator grills, and bought some new clear lenses for them.

Not wanting the clear to be too lairy I have just tinted them, and so far it looks good. I will get some pictures up later and will hopefully get them refitted this weekend

I think they look very well. What colour is your car? I think they would suit my yellow Chim.

How will you redox the grilles?

Clear lenses from here, they are secondhand but great condition:

Tinting spray here (I sprayed the inside of the lens so that it won't wear off):

The grills were sprayed with matt black Rustoleum paint, and I already have some silver bulbs to fit in the units.
I tried to use my crappy paint skills to give an idea how they will look on my car hehe

Argh, I drove past there on Thursday frown

Any chance of posting a couple of photos of fitting them? I'm sort of considering putting the side lights in there too..

You won't fit an indicator bulb and side light bulb behind the standard lens (at least not to my mind)

You can get dual coloured led switchback lights. The Americans upgrade to them because some of their cars have the sidelights in the indicators and they want white sidelights rather than amber.

It's stupid, people always want to modify to stuff other countries have. When I had my Audi I wanted the square boot plate and amber side lights in the indicators and they all want the European stuff I had.

Just got to change the plug to the same style as the brake lights and then run the indicator live with a ballast attached to stop it flashing too fast biggrin

Yours is the same reg as mine. Do you have the original alarm and immobiliser or have you fitted a new one?

I've got the original foxguard alarm still. I was thinking of replacing it but after talking to a few people it is going to stay. Parts are still easy to get and it seems to be a reliable system.
