Cooling Fans........screeching noise !

Any idea's why I get this awful screeching sound when the cooling fans come on.

Since they are electric, I would suspect the motor bearings. If it quietens after a while, they may last a bit longer, especially if you can get some oil in there. Also, the brushes may have worn out completely but not if the fans are still turning.

If the screeching is all the time, be prepared for them to seize!

Agree with the bearing comment above, may be worth checking nothing has get around the shaft or lodged into the cowling.
Long shot, and I'm not sure how the fan is attached to the shaft, is maybe its come loose.

Thanks guys, I suspect it probably is the bearings.......
