If anyone is interested, I have before and after soundfiles of my exhaust system.

Before is standard, after is JP SuperSports.

I don't have anywhere to host them, so if anyone is interested I'll have to send them by email.

Best regards,

Simon

thinking of having sports exhaust done to my 4.0L, but have heard varying reprots now as to whether or not it reduces BHP slightly. Have you noticed anything???

Also what size engine is yours, and can you send the sound file to me

cheers

I had the sports exhaust mod done by Fernhursts to my Griff 500 and had it measured on a rolling road afterwards. If there was any loss of power I haven't noticed it and the RR readout was very good indeed.

Adrian,

I have not noticed any power loss - in fact more to the contrary, but it may be down to the sound.

I have SuperSports - effectively straight through, but it looks 100% standard, complete with silencer which does ABOLUTELY NOTHING !

It's not too loud, anything less and I would have been disappointed.

If you're modifying the existing exhaust rather than replacing, I understand the equivalent would be all wadding removed AND perforated pipe sleeved.

BTW mines a 4.0

Also "you have mail"

Jsr,

If it was you who offered to host the files, please resend your email.
