Guys, which would you think be best? Coming down on the side of single turbo but what sort of size? also internal or external waste gate? Ideas?

If its a bolt on kit then is there a need to drop the comp ratio?

If you need to then its not really a bolt on kit is it and anything goes.

Have engine out and stripped due to head gasket issues as it turns out. Measured actual CR and it's 9.3:1 [with head skim 27cc so standards 'aint, they nearer 8.9:1 whatever it says on the block] Didn't want to drive around on a 'maybe it's ok' if kept to low boost. Still looking at a turbo build but whatever happens it will be balanced, lightened flywheel etc, Just have to make right decision whilst getting impatient IYSWIM banghead

I've gone for external WG as it just seemed more flexible and likely to be more reliable. Time will tell smile

Can you just change the pistons or does the engine need stripping down ,rebuilding and balancing ?

Eann installed mine and I cant recommend him enough. There is a surprising amount of work involved and he turned it round in a week for me. That included a megasquirt installation.
breath-taking amount of power when you want to play
