Hi all, The old girl is in for cosmetic surgery at the moment, and I was curious as to peoples thoughts on armourfend on a chim. I do believe it works, but will the edge show up too much on the bonnet and wings.
Many thanks
Jamie

Hi, I have seen a Sag with it but not a Chim or Cerb. Does yours run round the headlight bezels and over the bonnet or is it just on the grill?

You can get the whole bonnet done if you wish at a cost. I had my Tuscan vert Paintshielded but after 4 years I pulled it off because it started looking misty. Yes it works well avoiding stone chips but big ones Will cut it. I think there's a good arguement to save your money and have a front end repsray every 5 years or so.

thanks all, I will probably leave it and live with the odd "character" scar and get it blown over every few years.

Depends on the colour. We have Paintshield on the Griff 500 but any damage means a full respray as the colour is almost impossible to match and a £5k respray so its worth it on that. Not sure on other colours other than a pebble dashed front end on a darker car looks awful.

ours is Starmist Blue and, having seen the shield on a light sag which was ok but on the a dark GTR it was quite visible and it followed the lines nicely, hence my question as not sure how high up the bonnet it should go to look ok but still offer protection

Mine goes over grille, bonnet, wings, sills, wing mirrors, scuttle, headlamp bezzles, headlamp appertures, inside door appertures. If you are near Bucks, drop me an email andf you can come take a look. Paintshield did a fab job.
