Hardtop? Has anyone made there own? Help

Hi all, I am considering making my own rear hardtop using fibre glass and am considering covering it in the same mohair as the targa and making a Perspex rear window, I was going to use the rear hoop and roll over bar now I have removed the material make a Skelton to join together these pieces with sheet fibreglass. Have any of got you any ideas opinions etc etc

Have you seen the Steve Edwards version? Might be a good place to start for ideas?

I'd just buy Steve's TBH, he spent a lot of time and money getting that right and even if you know what you're doing by the time you've faffed about and struggled you'll probably have spent as much time, energy and money as he has.

If you read the advert it tells you

Odd looking indentation in the C pillar or is that just a refection? That said it appears in all the pictures.

Sorry guys, no offence meant and it's your car after all, but why?
Example, I previously had a couple of Stags with hard/soft top as standard and they looked right in hard or soft top [leave myself open to abuse]. Yet, whatever conversion I've seen for Chimearas, they look so wrong.

I want the rear part of my roof to be hard top because I like the look when it is removed, a lot smoother lines I don't want a hard top car.

I agree that it looks a better without the 'pram top' but the hardtop just seems to use up all the boot space

I look forward to seeing the finished article but I got a feeling its not going to blend in I think the lines will be all wrong...sometimes body mods just DO not work
