Thin on the ground at the moment I'm afraid and the prices for good ones reflect it.

You might get lucky but I don't think £10k will come close to buying you a low mileage minter that has a clean chassis, interior, paint etc. Might have some luck with an older 400.

Good luck. I'll keep my ear to the ground

Always worth looking at the TVR car club classifieds. There is a 450 on there with no details but club cars are always worth looking into.

Mine field comes to mind.

Looked at a supposidly v good condition 500 the other week.

Topside looked great, shocks were totally rusted and the powdercoating was peeling off chassis, and the engine sounded v iffy.

It went for 10,000 so good luck and be v carfeful

I thought they all had powdercoat peeling off he chassis. Doh.
Its not just the rarity factor, the good ones have had many thousands spent on them.
If you've done some homework and good with your hands you might get lucky but I'd rather pay 15 k for a car with sorted chassis engine electrics etc than 10 k and have to do it myself for probably a lot more money!
A good 450 for 10 k doesn't exsist, not with clean paint and no oil leeks!
If your lucky someone will come along and offer you a cracker for 10k so keep positive..
Goodluck with it.

Hi ! I don't know if this is of any interest but I have a 4.3 1993 chimaera, drives lovely...however, the floors get wet in the soaking rain and i believe it needs a new camshaft to bring back some power. 71k miles, full service history, interior and exterior are very good...ill let it go for 7k smile
