Act or custom made

Looking at exhaust options.

As most will know tried most variations over the years.

Would you go ACT or find a custom fitter,as they tend to be approx same price

I bought one last year, great quality, great sound

I think the price for the ACT (JP) exhaust is very competitive ! They are nice quality and worth every penny .

I don`t think Tim at ACT puts a lot on them .

It`s a no brainer ,JP have been making TVR exhausts for years .

Yup go ACT. I had a bespoke exhaust made for my racer (and have ACT on my Chim) and it cost twice as much and took a couple of attempts until they got it right. ACT offer a brilliant solution so why try and re-invent the wheel?

Cherry Bombs do sound good. I have the ACT cherry bombs on my griff along with the ACT replica manifolds and Clive Ford Y piece.

I can`t have one of those exhausts ,combined with the ACT de cat Y piece it was intolerable ! Since the Emerald install and remap it`s even quieter.

Don`t know why .

I can believe that. When I changed the injectors on mine from the standard to Bosch red tops it changed the sound of the car.

You might find the cherry bomb + ACT decat is OK now. Mine is fine with that setup and although it is loud certainly not over the top.

On idle I can`t believe how quiet it is ,good job I have the pops and bangs map I has flames coming out the exhaust today !

I've got the ACT set up - manifolds, sports Y incl cat and cherry bomb system and am really pleased with it.

It fitted nicely and sounds great

Still waiting for it.. They take a couple of weeks to make and we're going to try splitting the system so shipping would be easier.

Also waiting for mine to be delivered.

Been putting off fitting the De-catted manifolds for ages, so hopefuully once this is delivered can get both done at once.
