OK advice needed
Just tried to remove the battery box and the bolts are just spinning round. I had new bobins fitted last time the battery was changed but it semms not very well.
The question is what is to stop me cutting the front off the box leaving a small lip at the bottom to locate the new battery when fitted and then fitting a removal strap to hold the top in. or do I use the cut off front to make a hinged door with clips to lock it in place.
What do you think?

I presume the box is principally there (ignoring the purpose of stopping the battery from sliding around that some other fittings might have achieved), to contain the acid should the battery leak.
Drill a hole in the floor off the car thou the battery box That will help if battery leaks Gassing Station | Chimaera | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
