If you have one working remote and the other has stopped working, you can re-pair the non-working one without disconnecting the battery.
Using the working remote, lock and unlock the car about eight times in quick succession. Eventually the car will stop responding - it has gone into "pairing" mode. Quickly (within about 3 seconds) grab the non-working remote and press its button. The car's hazard lights will flash briefly. For good measure, press the working remote's button within 3 seconds as well. Then wait a few seconds. The car will unlock itself and go back to normal. Hopefully both remotes will now be paired to your alarm.
Note that this procedure only works if you already have a working remote in your possession, so the information is of no use to thieves.

Is that for the foxguard or meta system?
Good point: The instructions I gave work with the Meta system. Don't know about Foxguard.paramount1443 said:
Only have the one remote.
In that case, it's still worth trying disconnecting the battery, then reconnect and press the remote button within a few seconds. That is the other way of re-pairing your remote.Gassing Station | Chimaera | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
