Afternoon all

I've been meaning to start a blog for quite a while now about my body off refurb and have finally got round to it.

Thing is I've never blogged before and don't really have a clue why I'm doing. The below is the address I have:

http://chimrebuild.wordpress.com

Anyone fancy having a butchers and seeing firstly if it actually works, and if so do you think its worth while continuing ? I don't really want to start wasting everyones time if they aren't interested.

There is a huge amount of info I still have to add so its not close to being up to date on where the car actually stands right now. This is more of a preliminary test to see if the site actually works as google still isn't indexing it.

Kris your talking my language entirely.
I'm in a similar situation, cars on jacks, I'm reading furiously and then just looking at the various areas and familiarising myself with the tasks ahead so I'd be the first to read all you have to offer.
As you can probably tell I'm useless with text also but that matters not.

I've just removed the seats and located most chassis bolts etc and put some penetrating oil to them.
Keep kidding myself I can do a two inch lift but its got to come off!

My plan is to lift the body, pull chassis out and remove to a pucker garage to do the restoration work.

So a current thread involving this most important job of jobs is a pleasure to my ears, were all going to be doing it sooner or later so I hope I'm not the only one interested in your blog.
Many regards Al.

Kris. Your blog is really good. Would be most grateful if you would keep it up, as it will give those of us tackling this daunting exercise in future a lot of confidence.

Thanks chaps. Nice to know it might be useful. I'm typing as fast as I can right now to catch up as I'm almost at the stage of lowering the body back on.

I feel a late night ahead...

P.s I know the first page on the battery removal is missing most of its photos but I should be able to rectify this tomorrow.

Kris, I've been on the case today regards garage space so I will be removing all the bits in anticipation of the big lift very shortly, few your blog has come just in time for me. I'll be reading until 2am so I'm with you on the typing/reading lark.

I'm about to re read what you've already put up, really enjoyable so keep going and as other threads have shown many hundreds of people might just benefit.

Its sort of priceless to those of us who are facing such a daunting task, its giving me more confidence already.
Thank you.

That looks really good! Good job! Well done....

I have read the body off check list that is available but it is true what they say, a picture is worth a 1000 words and your pictures are really useful! I always reckoned that 2 people for one weekend could do a lift provided the bolts come out and looking at the write up that looks feasible.

This is excellent and bookmarked for future reference. Am pleasantly surprised to see a lot of the tasks with taking the body off I've already done individually tackling other jobs.

Ok then, the blog is now up to date in as far as the work i have done so far. I've been at it for almost 3 days straight now so its time for a short break.

I will be updating though over the next week as I'm sure I've forgotten a few things here and there, but the main body of info is there.

I'm going for a drink

Kris, welldone, wery good. Over time when others feel the need to sort their chassis this will be another invaluable piece of information.

Some major updates on the blog recently. Feel free to browse around and let me know if you find any errors (I'm sure there a few things I've missed).

Getting nearish to finishing. God it will nice to have it back on the road again. Can't wait for some driving
