Hi guys, just seen a potential car to go look at, it looks like it may need a new roof and it still has the wood dash which personally I would like to change to either carbon or aluminium. How much and where do people go to for the roofs? Same for the dash bits as well?
Thanks.

New roof - figure on £700ish.

And the £120 for the dash would be supply only. Not a hard job just time consuming.

I'm getting a new roof on mine this week from a respected trimmer for £550 plus VAT, new seals are extra though.

Best of luck.

Dash is easy, and a lot less than £120 if you don't want polished ally.

You can cover it with adhesive 3M carbon effect sheet or, like me, do it in real carbon fibre (pros and cons to both but the 3M stuff is a lot easier and cheaper). I would do the adhesive next time.

Should take about 3 - 4 hours depending upon whether you find something else to do 'while you're there'....

Others have stripped off the wood veneer and polished the steel dash, or stuck on colour-matched alcantra... it goes on. All of which is relatively cheap.

Remember if the veneer is in good nick you can sell or exchange it for one in poor nick (since you're going to change the effect anyway), off-setting some cost.

Had mine done at AJs trimming in Bourne end. Lovely hood and IIRC it was around £650 inc vat . I supplied new seals which he fitted. As its all hand made you can have it altered, in my case I went for a rectangular window without the side bits that curve round as they always split. First class job.
