Hi chaps, I've been reading the bible, good info but I'm really after all the torque settings.
I've been doing some homework regards body lift and chassis strip down.
Is there a definitive list someone could lead me too.
The Tvr specialists must use something!
Either I've missed it or the threads and blogs regarding said lifts, engine out etc but theres no mention of torque settings.
As a body lift/strip down requires you to go to every area of the car I'd like to know torque settings for the whole machine.
Any tips would be appreciated, many regards.

I was looking for the same when I got mine and found this on the parkersteve / pipex website:

http://www.parkersteve.dsl.pipex.com/images/torque...

you'll need to save it and blow it up to print it off big enough to read, at least I had to. nerd

The Steve Heath books are not "workshop manuals" more of a "guide to owning", the information is out there, just takes a bit of Googling wink

I've got that one Phil, common sence seems to be the approach.
My seat belt bolts are a damn site tighter than the list suggests.
Maybe Tvr only had one torque wrench between them?

Its ok guys,I've just been on to Powers, anything I need they'll pass on to me.
I'll spend a bit more time googleing.

I have recently removed my seat belt bolts. Problem with them isn't torque, it's rust.
And the risk of shearing the heads off if you try too hard.......oh yes, you just tested that one, didn't you?

Look up standard torque tables for thread types...

They exist for the Metric bodywork, UNC engine and UNF Chassis, and you maybe surprised how close to the advised settings the standards are?

Useful info saved thanks chaps, Qbee all the other bolts were tight but that one bolt would not budge,If I can drill out the bolt I can undo the fker?
That's a triplet that drummers playin, I've loosened most the chassis bolts now so that's a relief.

I reckon if I had to and no issues appear the body would come off in know time.
Then the real work begins!

Hey Al

Just a heads up that I've just updated my blog with a Reference section. The torque figures will go up later tonight, but I've pasted in a spreadsheet I made with all the different bolt sizes etc as they came off my car.

May be useful to you as well.

What's left of the seat belt bolt is in the outrigger,Alun, so you can leave it in, as you may well be replacing the outriggers.
And the drummer is doing a little roll, bass drum, tish on the cymbal. The original bumm-tish

Excellent Kris. Top man.
Anthony, look closely you'll find the bass drum is struck at the same time as the cymbal, its a triplet using four instruments.
I might not have many qualifications but I can count,,,,,, sometimes.
You wanna see my triplets on the bass pedal, super fast, John Bonham type of thing.
Now I'm getting techi but I do toe and heel technique with my bass pedal, work that one out.
Oh my bass pedal is like my car,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, a bd expensive one.

I bow to your superior knowledge of drum riffs, Alun, but the outer seat belt anchor is still in the outrigger.....
