Hit a fallen rock from a dry stone wall earlier. The car then tried to climb the wall.

Blimey Derek! Sorry to see that frown

What's the diagnosis? To my untrained eye it only looks superficial, albeit the wheel seem further in that it should be.....

That's an SP12 wheel....not cheap, and it does look like something has broken in the suspenders....

I was pleasantly driving along on a detour from a traffic jam. Reckon i was only doing between 30 and 40 on a 2 lane B road. Conditions were perfect but i failed to see a big rock in the road.
I hit that with a large bang and next thing i know i am at 45 degrees to the horizon and almost on top of a very solid dry stone wall. I 'skillfully' rolleyes got the car back to the road on all 4 wheels.

A short walk down the road revealed the rocks and carnage.

On initial inspection of the car.... both nearside wheels, front puncture, the rear is somehow still holing air!. There is a lot of obvious damage to the rear wishbones and sadly i think to the 3 way (expensive) Nitron. I guess i will find more damage in the morning.

The wheels are in motion (no pun intended) for the insurance claim. Adrian flux has took details and passed me on to a nice welsh lady who has promised to make it all better bar the £500 excess

You will need to be very firm with the insurers about who does the repair work, Derek. You don't want it done by some oik who usually fixes Fiestas, or it will never be right.

There were roadworks on the a590 so i turned off towards cartmel... road was shut for that... followed the tomtom on the lanes towards Lindale. My advice, just put up with the traffic on the main road

The missus hates being with me on the 590 so there's no hope of any deviation thanks for the reply, hopefully see you and the car out and about shortly

Sorry to see it Derek.
It's a damned painful thing to have any car you care for being messed up like that.
