Clutch Lever Information request
Discussion
Can anyone please advise the ease of changing a clutch lever. I have just investigated why I had gear selection problems yesterday. I found a nice round pivot pin , that has managed to push itself through the middle of the lever.
1, Is it possible to change this arm without splitting the box/engine, it looks as easy as just moving the slave cylinder out of the way? But things like this often have hidden probs. I dont want to start & then have to tow it to the repair man, I would just rather do that now!
2, Is this a common problem?
3, Is the part specific to TVR, if not any ideas where its from?
I have searched other threads for info, but nothing was found.
Thanks in advance
Chris

Pretty sure you will need to split the box to change the lever, especially if you have the bell housing without the inspection hatch.
The bit is a standard Rover bit but some people weld a washer over the pivot to strengthen it.
Wouldn't say it is a common problem but is more "it does happen".
