What do people find the best?
I've been using plus gas but tomorrow I'm going to test a mix that apparently works the best? It's power steering fluid and acetone? Seeing as though everything is seized up, hopefully it works well?
Never mind plus gas you have a £165 lambda sensor and controller in my garage . If I had known how much it costs ,I would of kept it !I've been using plus gas but tomorrow I'm going to test a mix that apparently works the best? It's power steering fluid and acetone? I'm sure I've read somewhere that acetone is a great product for this. Be interesting to hear your results.
Personally, I can't complain about Plusgas. I'm half way or so through a body off and its performed faultlessly. No sheared bolts and nothing it couldn't handle (Yes, I can say that with confidence as all the rusty old nuts have now been removed, so no kiss of death for me
).

).Good luck. Just got some Acetone from TESCO pharmacy today. 50ml for £1.45. Will mix 50:50 with pink ATF Dextron III and may try soaking over night on manifold exhaust bolts to see if they loosen easy before a re tighten. If it works it would be good for loosening rusty chassis body and seat belt bolts. Shake both together in container to get a good mix before painting on. Hope the US of A test is credible.
Given some spare time I may try on a row of new DEXION nuts an bolts tightened to the same torque setting in a vice. Leave to soak overnight then determine with a torque wrench the Newtons required to loosen. Will compare Acetone/ATF with WD40 and an untreated control.
