I feel the need to zoom down a 1/4 mile again - lots of dates available @ the Pod - shall we pick a date that works for everyone?

Yeah I would be up for some pod action.

Derek normally organises the main 'TVR Ultimate shootout' event at pod during the summer.

Nick, Shakey is a better bet.

good for camping, more informal, you can view every run from the queue and get more runs in.

just my tuppence worth.

You won't find out what your car's capable of... only how crap you are at driving it....

Its a straight line, how hard can it be. Bloody drag strip, I know a bloke with a turbo diesel Octavia, reckons it does the quarter in under 10. Anythings fast if you throw enough money at it! Drag racing its bks.

Mind you, I wouldn't mind having a go at it. lol lol lol !

Like all forms of Motorsport its the getting together thats half the crack.

I'd be dismayed at my slow car so feck that. I might secretly go and find out!

So haven't you got to waste a set of tyres doing burnouts just to get enough grip off the line.
Also would it save time to start in second to avoid the gear change?

I've never seen the point of it but after reading about some of the mega engine mods and rebuilds I can see why you'd use it to evaluate what gains your making.

That wet look Tarmac it must be full of grip and quite a buzz.

Went to the Pod last autumn. Three runs in 4 hours. Total of less than 40 seconds fun for £20. That's top Soho rates. wink (pro rata)

Chatting with the lads was good, but we could have found a nice pub for that and had a beer as well. Never again.
Take Phazed's advice and get thrashed by him several times per hour in Worcestershire/Warwickshire.
