I have started putting the ehater on as the weathers is getting cooler (Had the roof off today though sod the cold) I get hot air from the vents on top of the dash to blw onto the screen but despite paying around the other vents such as the ones in font of the gear stick still blow cold air not warm. Are they meant to heat up???
I have a switch under the dash which turns to speed the rate of air flow up from these vents but up or down no hot air.....

The other vents work fine though and get lovely hot air to warm up with

under the dash on the right hand side you have the boot release button, the dial to speed up air flow to the vents is there on mine. I have another dial you can turn to increase the flow to the footwell and the screen.

hope that helps

Mine has vents on the Tunnel that work via the heater knob, and then a vent in the footwell (right hand side) and the right hand side dash vent that run from a seperate fan and intake.. Designed to keep you cool in the Summer.. Those two vents don't get hot.. I've closed mine off now to stop the draft..

Nor mine.. that function is dealt with by spinning the switch by the heater slider wheels (97- )

The most useful function of this is when you open the boot when you're stood outside of the car. As you turn the ignition on the fan bursts into life, warning you not to turn any further. (..thus engaging starter...and of course you've left it in gear cos the handbrake don't work!........)

I missed this gizmo when I swapped from a 95 to a 98.
