Facet Rotor Arm warning
Discussion
I recently bought the service items for the Chim from a local motor factors.
The distributor cap and rotor arm supplied are Facet.
I didn't like the look from a quality point of view anyway as the brass top is about half of the thickness of the Lucas one that came off and the the brass is held on with one rivet.
Despite the above I tried to fit them.
After many minutes of trying to get the dizzy cap to seat properly and failing I removed the rotor arm and compared it with the Lucas one again. I found that the Facet one has a lip part way up inside that means it won't go on as far as the Lucas one hence the cap won't seat.
I'll be taking mine back for a refund and keeping the Lucas one.
Not enamoured with the cap either but I'll see how it goes.
Just a heads up.
