Removing early door release buttons

I have the early system with the door release buttons in the rear wings. Trying to get them out for repaint but not obvious how to release them.

Can get access easy enough through the flap behind the seat. There are 3 bolts which appear to hold the mechanism to the wing. Removed them but the button still won't shift.

Guess I will also need new rubber seals once they finally move, any ideas what they came from and where to source?
