My Chim will be parked in the street, and I need a good quality weather proof cover. Although I have one
made by cover zone, its tearing everytime I remove it and is not particularly water proof. Help appreciated, tks

I've tried a few from £13 up to a £60 half cover, and none of them were perfect. The really good ones (presumably?) that I admit I haven't tried are hundreds of pounds which would be better spent on ensuring it doesn't leak.

To be honest, being covered and parked on the street is MORE likely to attract unwanted attention, IMHO of course.

If I'm guessing correctly, then the hk in your user name suggests to me you're in an area where you can get exceptionally heavy rain showers so I see why you'd want an outdoor cover. smile

Classic Additions do quite a range from indoor to heavy duty which are £176:

I had a problem with a product and they sent a replacement one no questions asked.

They are NOT tailored however, they just send you a small size appropriate to the car dimensions.

I have a half cover from Classic Additions, it works well for me and kept my car dry during our epic downpours over winter.

I bought one from the cover company which is at the same address as classic additions,????, It was"nt at all waterproof and I ended up getting a refund after much faffing about on there part, The one I had previous to this was from Hamilton classic, this was fine for 2 years but then started leaking.

If you have power a Carcoon will be hard to beat. It's what I use in the winter.

Thanks for the info. Yep, the monsoon season starts here in Hong Kong next month so a cover is a must. Alas now I've got
the SUV kid carrier, the Chim has moved outside . The cover that came with the car when i purchased it was from cover zone. I've just checked their web site ( http://www.cover-zone.com) and they have quite a range from dust to fully all weather covers. They are also tailored to fit and exemp VAT for us expats. They are around the £160 mark, so not cheap but better than a boot full of water wink

The leven hood cover is totally waterproof and won't blow off ..... if you can find one.

Not a full car cover, but those can be a nightmare for paintwork.
