Afternoon,

I've booked up with Javelin to their Anglesey open pit track day on the 7th July. 105dB static and 95dB drive by sound limits.

I've booked a garage too.

I'll be there in either Tamy or Samy and my mate (atom111) will also be there in a GT-86.

Anyone else up for it?

It's on my bucket list but for now 308 miles away is too far.

600 mile round trip plus track fuel, £350.00
overnight x 2? £100.00
TD cost, £189.00
sundries, £100.00

Total, £650.00 in round figures.

Still tempting......

Can't take it with you. Why expend so much effort building a cool car and not 'own it' on the great tracks in this contry?

Cheeky bugger!

I've done at least three and a half sheds full of TDs in the last 5 or 6 years and a couple of sprints recently tongue out

That aside, I'm seriously thinking about it.

It'll seem more attractive when I look at the track on the net after a few glasses............

What layout is it?

Will it be full of Welsh people in Saxos?

As I understand it we drive the full circuit in the morning and a shortened circuit in the afternoon. Fifth Gear used to use it. The photographer from Snetterton last month said they were both really good layouts.

However, my experience may differ to others. To be truly enlightened one must first walk the path themselves.

Our extremely tall mutual friend reckons it's a great track. He went there to watch the TVR Challenge racing last year.
I quite fancy doing a two day trip, Anglesey one day, Oulton the next, to share the travel costs between two track days so to speak.

Possibly be at Oulton Park later on this year (November). May do Snetterton again in September.

For anyone doing this, we are racing there with dtec that weekend, 9-10 august. 3 races that weekend for us, might be worthwhile staying the weekend..!?

Good shout. Unfortunately, off to Morzine the following weekend for two weeks so will be slammed sorting my various pies.
