Can anyone on here go a month (or week) without buying things for their Chim? Is it just me? I'm wondering if it will ever end? I was just thinking last night as it was pay day and the first thing I sorted out was another list of things to order

I can go a month,, but then buy extra the next. Currently have new relay, 100 amp fuse, hand brake assembly, spark plugs, leven drop links, coil, door solenoids and so on to fit.

It is a good sort of addiction I suppose....

I won't stop until it's as good as it can be, in mint condition, exactly how I want it to be, all the right upgrades and mods (according to what I think is right), looks how I want it to look, drives how I want it to drive, goes round corners as it should, accelerates how (I think) it should, sounds perfect, is a wonderful place to sit in and travel in, and I can drive it where ever I want, whenever I want, without fear of breaking down, or getting soggy carpets.

The pursuit of this ideal has so far cost almost what I paid for the car in the first place. Suffice it to say I'm well into 911 turbo territory.

It's like a relationship with a woman you don't want to lose. They need constant attention, they're invariably high maintenence, and they let you know if you've not met their expectations when it comes to spending money.

I cannot see it ending, I change my mind often as to what is right and what isn't, and their is no cure. But like all addictions, little and often is better than bingeing. So yes, at least monthly. And that's in hundreds, not tens.

I don't think it will ever end?
Took her off the road a while ago to changed brakes as they were knackered
Then thought oh I may as well upgrade them while i'm doing it, big brakes, braided lines. Now i want different wheels to fit over the brakes properly
Bottom ball joints were also knackered then that turned into all new ball joints, track rod ends, Gaz Monos
It was running really lean so bought an ECU off Daz then while I'm at it, may as well get new injectors, make a new loom, 76mm plenum, decat, clean/paint heads. But then the rest of the engine will look crap so I might just get new hoses all round.
The rear number plate lights didn't work so I've just ordered new holders, bulbs
You lot are going on about baffled sumps so thats another thing to order this month.
It's weird, I enjoy buying bits and working on the car nearly as much as driving i think. Every time I drive I realise what else could be improved so it's a vicious circle.
Still could be worse I suppose?
