John, can you give any more details. Is that a Corsa C column. Is it all Corsa or half Corsa, half Tvr Cavalier.

The unit is corsa c the top end is your wheel indicators etc the bottom end is an infusion of corsa and tvr to still get the collapsable column which is where good engineering is needed to shrink fit the parts together to get strong tough joints as i said in the earlier post good engineering facilities needed.

Expensive http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/motorsport/electroni...

Think IIRC it uses the system from a Micra, so may be an option if you cant find a Corsa?

Another option is...the Subaru rack conversion (Steve Gullick) to my non PAS car.

Do a search on his rebuild thread was really easy to do folowing his steps used with an electric pump.

Come on John don't hold us in suspense, how much for your kit? The Mrs always complains how heavy the steering it and I like the idea that you can change the amount it does.

Would plumbing an electric pump onto the normal tvr power steering rack not be easier and just as effective?

We use EZ Electric Power Steering (www.ezpowersteering.nl) over here. Not the cheapest, but fit and forget, you get the original steering column back so it is reversible at all times and everything is TüV certified.

I asked the same question before I bought my non PAS car, but now I own it, I'd rather keep it as it is. The steering feel on the move is fabulous and really adds to the analogue feel of the car.

Having had both, prefer the non-power steering of the two. I cant comment on the custom conversions, though.
