Why no what's worth threads allowed?

[Frenchda]

Just curious as I have had a thread removed asking this question.

I have & will scoured the adverts & ebay etc so have a rough idea but was asking the knowledgeable masses of this forum.

It's to prevent the forums filling up with threads of the same nature, from viewing the classifieds and other car salesy sites, you should have a good idea of what to ask for it.

Also a lot of people post them but really it's a for sale thread rather than a what's it worth.

I hope that helps

Just to reiterate what Nathan has said, all "what's it worth" threads when seen by a moderator or reported by a member will be routinely removed as they breach the rule of posting No.6

Which states you will not:-

Post links for the purposes of advertising or personal gain (including cars for sale) or cross-post across multiple forums. If you wish to advertise please use the classifieds or contact us directly. Please note that we do not allow members to advertise their own car, nor do we allow members to post asking for valuations on their current car (please use the classifieds as a guide).

HTH explain.

Whilst good in theory, in practice the valuations can vary by a factor of two.
