Which exhaust manifold gaskets?
Discussion
Hi all, just returned from a 1000km journey with the missus in the chim, bloody glorious. Love the torque of that engine it's like driving an automatic the only reason To change down to 4th going up hills was because I felt sorry for the gearbox magic stuff.
And on top of that it returned 11km per litre, (@4.5l to the gallon thats 49.5 km to the gallon if that makes sense) so happy with that. Anyway since I have returned I have noticed the characteristic ticking/chuffing of exhaust manifold gaskets leaking which goes away when it warms up a bit. My question is does anyone know if I can use 4.6l range rover gaskets which are readily available. I presume the ports on the 500 are bigger but can the gaskets be modified to suit or do I need to sorce some genuine tvr gaskets? Cheers.
