Hi folks
I would like to relate a sad and warning tale to you all.My mot is due in April, so I checked my certificate for the date of renewal. to my shock I saw the tester had typed in 91.000 instead of 51.000. my three years previous mileage average about 3.5k. these mileages are displayed in small column on the document, mine was covered by the clipped on receipt
I took the paperwork to the test station, only to be told to contact vosa. This I did and was told it was irreversible as I have no proof of the mileage being 51.000, obviously because the speedo had moved on. so please beware friends

Regards Dave

Mark.

Has the speedo moved on past 91000? If it is still less I'd say you have a good case, especially with perhaps service receipts in between?

hi Mark
The speedo reads 54.000 for last year 2013/2014 ,it is for 2012/2013 it is wrong
Do my own servicing so drew a blank there
Thanks Dave

I think any prospective owner would understand if the condition of the car is good.

The mileage will be correct this year and I wonder if anyone did 40k miles in 1 year in a TVR, ever?!

Wouldn't bother me if I was buying a TVR and there was enough evidence to support it being a clerical error. An extra 10 or 20k would probably have been more of an issue than an error on this scale.

Hi again folks
I hope I have some good news on the issue
I went through photos on my camera looking for photos of my car for the year 2013
I was rewarded with pictures of the interior from Feb 2013 on the 24th,showing the dash and clocks.

Looking very carefully with a magnifying glass I could see the mileage 50.933 proving the car had not done 91.000 as the test station had recorded.
I contacted vosa and they agreed to see the photo, and we're sure they could rectify the issue
I am seeing them on Tuesday hopeing for good news

Thank you for all replies
