Hi All,
I am thinking of changing the front indicators to clear type, how do the lights or lenses come off?
The lenses i have seen look to be screwed on but when i tried to unscrew the amber lenses on the car they didnt budge, didnt want to force anything to thought best to ask on here 1st!

Thanks,
Peter.

The front lens will be silconed in and will need freeing up - suggest a long model knife but be really careful. The rear should unscrew but on the Chimp I think you need to remove the grill or have a real challenge getting access from underneath.
The clear ones are from a military Land Rpver/Chieftan tank and look best with silver bulbs to lose the fried egg effect.

They are just tiger sealed in place, I pushed my back into the bumper then angle and pull out.
To hold them in place while the sealant sets, I wrapped some wire around the mesh and secured to a sack truck smile

Have been looking at doing this myself and have bought the clear indicators in readiness.

Found this thread useful with some additional links.

Thanks for info, mine is a later model so access maybe a bit harder as no big grill to allow access.
Am a bit woried about knocking the lens back using rubber hammer, is the bodywork strong enough to do this without damaging it. Obviously realise not to actually hit the fiberglass lol.
