Derek is taking part in a 3 day drag racing event, one of the days being the Sunday at Shakespeare raceway.

The proposal is that a group of wannabes/fun seekers meet up at Shakey for a bit of fun to try our luck at breaking world records on the Saturday with possible stay over to watch the big boys on the Sunday.

I'm posting this up on the best, most read forum in case any interested parties have missed this in the events forum and fancy a bash.

At the moment we have a few "goers" but a big group would be fun!

Come on guys, there aren't many places that you can drive your car flat out safely, give it a go cool

Sounds good, as they want to build houses on the land I'm up for supporting The place. I'm not sure if I'm going to put my car on the road this summer but there's quite a few of us dotted around the area. Sounds like a good chance to support the event and cheer on our brave boys. I'm calling all the local chaps to make this a chance to get together in a loud exciting environment. I've been there just once and I really enjoyed it, (spectating)

Its well placed and links to M40 etc, Stratford is a 5 min drive away, great for a spot of lunch or just to sit by the river and contemplate. Its actually quite odd, Shakespeare, then moments away, flames bombs and tyre smoke, its an intoxicating mix. Def makes a good wk end for campers.

Yes yes yes.
Come along Saturday and if you run an 11 you get immediate membership of the MCC (you are already a member Daz).
Hopefully we can all park up together, camp close but not too close (no spoons Mac).
I will be there late on saturday but in time for beer and burgers and will be racing on the Sunday in the UK power tour. I believe there may be a couple other TVRs also.

Go on Jackson, I spent the wk end with a bandanna and silver shades on my head aka Axel Rose, lol, I almost looked like I belonged, really good crac, anyway its a good venue and a great chance to see lots of mad machinery ripping up the road.
Then we have rocket ship Derek setting records, I'd like to be able to say I was there to see his attempts to gain a bit more grip. I wonder if Brummie will attend. That's worth the entry fee on its own!
